A Final Update

Wayru’s mission was to bridge the digital divide through decentralized connectivity. Despite our team’s superhuman efforts, Wayru Inc. and the Wayru Foundation will officially wind down operations by December 30, 2025, due to insufficient funding to sustain operations.

 

What’s next?

To honor our mission, we are transitioning into an open-source project. We will release our GitHub repositories and a manual to repurpose deployed devices for Orion in the coming weeks. Our remaining hardware will be donated to underserved communities to ensure it continues to serve its purpose.
